Part 4. Screens (for windows and doors)
You can buy standard screens with your windows and doors but there are other choices.
- Magic seal have a wonderful screen that uses a magnetic frame with a screen infill for windows. They are easy to remove and easy to clean and can be successfully fitted into framing or added later.
- Tech roll have screens for doors and windows.
- Canterbury windows have a screening system for bi-fold doors that can be successfully fitted into the window framing or added later.
- Centor have also have a bi-fold screen product (see this featured product article) on the Australian Home Design Directory.
- Snappy Screen, designed by Angela Elliss, is a very simple product that acts more like a flush screen curtain over large openings and is 90% mosquito proof. It is perfect for openings that receive constant traffic and does not require opening or closing. You can obtain the pattern for a small fee by contacting Angela Elliss (angela@angelaellissdesign.com.au).
